Question 1

How do I arrange private tennis lessons in Singapore?

Accepted Answer

First, contact TAG International Tennis Academy with your preferred days, timing, and location. We will match you with the right coach and confirm your first session quickly. We offer tennis lessons at your condominium, public courts, Winchester Tennis Arena, and all across Singapore. To get started, WhatsApp us at +65 9029 8400.

Question 2

Where are your tennis lessons held in Singapore?

Accepted Answer

TAG conducts tennis lessons island-wide across Singapore — specifically at Winchester Tennis Arena (4 sheltered indoor courts in Alexandra), Novotel Singapore at Stevens, TAG @ One North in Buona Vista, Chinese Swimming Club, and at your condominium or public tennis court near you. We can come to you wherever you are in Singapore.

Question 3

How far in advance should I book tennis lessons?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking early, especially if you have a preferred day, time, or coach in mind. You can arrange a fixed weekly slot with your coach to ensure priority booking. Contact us at +65 9029 8400 to check current availability.

Question 4

What is the minimum commitment for tennis lessons?

Accepted Answer

There is no minimum commitment — you can start with a single ad-hoc lesson. However, for the best results and value, we recommend a 10, 30, or 40-hour package. Whether you want casual weekly sessions or intensive training for competitions, we have a program for you.

Question 5

At what age can my child start tennis lessons?

Accepted Answer

Typically, children can start tennis lessons from as young as 3 years old. Our Pee Wee tennis program uses fun eye-hand coordination games and movement drills designed specifically for young children to develop motor skills. Junior group programs are available for children from 3 to 17 years old.

Question 6

What happens if it rains during my tennis lesson?

Accepted Answer

Our coaches continue with structured indoor drill work — footwork training, stroke correction, and strength exercises — in a nearby sheltered area. Lessons at Winchester Tennis Arena are fully indoors and always run on schedule regardless of weather.

Question 7

What is the cancellation policy for tennis lessons?

Accepted Answer

We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Otherwise, cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will incur the full lesson fee. Court fees at certain venues may also apply depending on the facility's policy. Please contact your coach or our team as early as possible if you need to reschedule.

Question 8

What happens if my child misses a group tennis lesson?

Accepted Answer

Group lessons run as scheduled — if your child misses a session, it will be marked as absent and there will be no make-up class. This is why we recommend consistent attendance for junior group programs to ensure steady skill development. Private lessons offer more scheduling flexibility.

Question 9

How many tennis lessons per week does a competitive junior need?

Accepted Answer

For juniors aiming to compete, we recommend 2–3 training sessions per week, combining private lessons with group sessions. As a general rule of thumb: training hours per week should roughly equal your child's age (up to 18). TAG's junior group programs at Winchester Tennis Arena and Chinese Swimming Club can effectively supplement private lesson programs.

Question 10

How do I choose the right tennis coach for my child?

Accepted Answer

The right coach connects with your child both technically and personally. Look for a coach who: (1) still plays competitive tennis — so they can demonstrate what they teach; (2) understands your child's personality and can motivate them; (3) has experience with competitive juniors. All TAG coaches play or have played in competitive tournaments and are certified professionals.

Question 11

How much do Tennis Lessons in Singapore cost at TAG Academy?

Accepted Answer

We also offer 10-hour ($125/hr) and 30-hour ($120/hr) packages. Pricing varies by venue — indoor lessons at Winchester Tennis Arena start from $150/hr.
