Coach Tan Xu Teng (XT) is the Founder and Managing Partner of TAG International, founded in Singapore in 2001. Being in the tennis industry for over 19 years, TAG International has coached more than 5,000 students and managed many clubs’ tennis programs. TAG International Tennis Academy offers the best personalised private tennis lesson for kids and adults as well as group tennis lessons in Singapore, training to get you ready for competitive games.
Coach XT represented Singapore to win an individual Bronze Medal in the ASEAN University Team 2004 in his competitive days. He is also a Singapore Men’s Singles and Doubles A Division Champion and is well regarded as one of the top Singaporean Men’s tennis players even to this day. His work and contribution to the Singapore tennis fraternity in the development of high-performance juniors in the region were recognised, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) invited him as a keynote speaker to share his work at the prestigious WTA Coaches Conference held during the WTA Singapore Finals in 2017.
Coach XT also pioneered Singapore’s first shelter indoor tennis courts in Singapore, Winchester Tennis Arena in 2015 with a few of his close friends Leslie, Paul, Prem and SA. Winchester Tennis Arena strive to be the gathering place of top tennis players, tennis teams, and social tennis groups. Competitive Junior Tennis Players can also learn tennis in Singapore safely at the sheltered tennis courts and push themselves hard without the worry of the inconvenience of inclement weather.
Vision for TAG International Tennis Academy
Coach XT’s vision of hiring only the very best players turned coaches from the region has set the direction for TAG International Tennis Academy which has surely and steadily, grown over the years. The competitive experiences of Coach XT and the team of Coaches lead us to established as Singapore’s leading tennis academy where it produces top national juniors players.
Xu Teng is also a well respected industry veteran in the entertainment and restaurant scene with his multi-award winning Wave House Sentosa that celebrated its tenth year anniversary in 2019. Wave House Sentosa has won many industry awards such as Singapore Tourism Board’s Singapore Tourism Award, IS-Magazine’s (now SG Magazine) Best Activity and Best Beach Bar in Singapore Awards, and numerous Best of Singapore and TripAdvisor Awards.
He also started, 実柚 ~みゆ ~ Miyu, a Japanese Omasake restaurant in September 2019 located at Duxton Road. Curating the finest Japanese omakase experience with the sincerest prices.
