TAG Tennis Coach Peter D. Egos captured the Men’s 35+ Singles Title at the Pesta Sukan Singapore National Games 2019 Tennis Tournament last night.
Throughout the tournament, Coach Peter displayed power, flair and consistency in his serves, return and groundstrokes to overcome his various opponents.
Coach Peter won the finals convincingly 6-0, 6-1 and was crowned Singapore’s 35+ Men’s Singles Champion.
Coach Peter was also the defending champion, winning this same tennis tournament in 2018.

Preparing for Tennis Tournament
In preparing for this tournament, Coach Peter trained hard with his fellow TAG Coaches – Coach X, Coach Bo, Coach Israel and Coach Dave. He did a lot of live ball hitting, played a lot of practice matches, and particularly practiced his serve and his returns, his forehand, his single backhand and his approach to the net (transition game) and his volley and overhead smash. Coach Peter also did a lot of physical condition, running around the tranquil surroundings of Hort Park in Alexandra where our Academy, Winchester Tennis Arena is based.
For Juniors and competitive junior tennis players who wish for rapid improvement, good tennis tournament results and a rapid rise up the tennis rankings, it is recommended to follow a tennis training program that is similar to Coach Peter’s.
