Travelling to compete in tournaments outside Singapore is an invaluable experience for developing tennis players. The Penang tournament brought together talented juniors from across the region, providing a competitive platform that challenges players to perform under pressure and adapt to new environments, opponents, and playing conditions.
Coach Rocky led the TAG International contingent to Penang, where the group represented the academy with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Competing away from home tests not only a player’s technical and tactical abilities but also their mental resilience and ability to stay focused in unfamiliar surroundings. These are qualities that the TAG International coaching team works to develop in every student.
Tournament experience is a critical component of any serious tennis development programme. Matches against new opponents reveal strengths and expose areas for improvement in ways that regular practice sessions cannot replicate.
